Issue – RTV Order
This TIPP PRO pop-up page books the goods of a return-to-vendor (RTV) order out of your warehouse in Exact Globe. You choose the issue date, the quantity, the location and any serial or batch numbers per return line, and TIPP posts the issue. It is opened with the Issue button on the RTV order page by warehouse and purchasing staff when the goods physically leave for the supplier. The page title shows the RTV number, for example “Issue – RTV Order 123”.
Before you start
- A TIPP PRO licence is required. Without it the page is read only and shows: “Failed: No TIPP PRO licence available; please reach out to TICE-IT. TIPP Transactions requires a TIPP PRO licence to process transactions (the current licence is ‘…’). Install the TIPP PRO licence file on the Synergy License Management page (Modules > TIPP > Setup > License).” Only Cancel keeps working.
- Open the page from the RTV order page with Issue. It needs the division and RTV number from that page.
- The RTV must be authorized, not completed, and have at least one return line that is not yet issued.
- The supplier of the RTV must not be blocked in Exact Globe.
- The TIPP Transactions service must be running and reachable. An administrator sets its address on the TIPP Engine Settings page (Modules, TIPP, Setup, Engine Settings (PRO)), where the Check Running Service button tests the connection.
- TIPP must be connected to the Exact Globe division (Backoffice Connection page).
- There must be stock of the items in the warehouse of the RTV, because goods can only be issued from stock.
How to issue all goods of an RTV
- On the RTV order page click Issue. The Issue pop-up opens.
- Check Issue Details at the top: RTV order, Vendor, Warehouse and Purchase order.
- Check Issue date. It starts as today’s date and must be a valid date.
- If your Exact Globe uses warehouse locations, pick a Default location (optional) or pick Issue from per line. If only one location exists it is selected for you.
- Click Issue all if you want to be sure every line is ticked with its full open quantity. Lines start ticked with the full open quantity already.
- For serial or batch items, pick the serial number or batch in the Serial/Batch column.
- Click Issue now. A message “One moment please…” shows while TIPP posts the issue. On success the pop-up closes and you are back on the RTV page.
How to issue part of an RTV
- Open the pop-up with Issue on the RTV page.
- Change the Issue now quantity of a line to the smaller amount, or untick the box at the start of lines you do not want to issue now. Clear unticks everything and sets quantities to 0 if you prefer to start empty.
- Click Issue now. The unissued part stays open on the RTV and can be issued later.
How to issue from several locations or lots
- On the line, click the plus link at the end of the row (“Add another location / lot for this line”). A new row appears under it for the same line with quantity 0.
- Choose Issue from (location) and, for batch items, the batch, and enter the quantity for that row.
- Repeat as needed. Remove an extra row with the red cross.
- Click Issue now. The total over all rows of a line cannot be more than the line’s open quantity.
How to issue serial number or batch items
- Serial items are marked S in Type, batch items B. For a serial item each row takes quantity 1: pick one serial number per row and use the plus link to add a row for every extra serial.
- For a batch item pick the batch in Serial/Batch and enter the quantity for it. Add rows for more batches.
- Each choice shows the available quantity in brackets, and batches show “exp.” with the expiry date or “EXPIRED” with the date when expired.

Common questions
What does Issue do on an RTV?
It books the returned goods out of stock in Exact Globe on the issue date you choose. Click Issue on the RTV page, check the lines and click Issue now.
Why is Issue now disabled?
The RTV is completed, not authorized, the supplier is blocked, every line is already issued, or it was not found. A red message above the lines tells you which.
Can I issue only part of the order?
Yes. Lower the Issue now quantity or untick lines, then click Issue now. The rest stays open for later.
Why does a line say “No stock at any location”?
The item has no stock in the warehouse of the RTV. Its checkbox is disabled until stock exists. Check stock in Exact Globe.
How do I issue several serial numbers?
Each row takes one serial number. Pick a number, then click the plus link to add a row for the next number.
What does the Credit checkbox mean?
Ticked claims credit from the vendor for the line. Unticked issues the goods with zero amount.
Why was my quantity reduced automatically?
The page caps a quantity at the open quantity of the line and at the stock available for the chosen location, serial or batch.
Why do I not see Default location or the Issue from column?
These only appear when Exact Globe is set to use warehouse locations.
The issue timed out. Can I just try again?
No. Check the RTV in Exact Globe first, because the issue may already have been posted, and retrying could issue the goods twice.
Who can use this page?
Users with a TIPP PRO licence who pass TIPP page security for this page.
Where is the Purchase order shown from?
It shows the original purchase order when the RTV was created from one in TIPP. Otherwise it shows “-“.
